Parafernalia: workshops for families

Parafernalia is everything that turns a celebration into a shared experience: objects, decorations, symbols, colours and collective inventions to create identity, gathering and memory. It is the visual universe that shapes the celebration and fills it with imagination, beauty and meaning. 
 

On the afternoons of 9, 10 and 11 September, we will gather at Llamita to design and build together the preparations (paraphernalia) for the Verbena de Juegos, the great childhood celebration that will accompany the opening of Faro Santander and take place on 12 September. We will create bunting, lanterns and other festive elements that will populate the celebration spaces and bring this moment of gathering to life.
 

Over the course of these three days, we will make more than 500 small lanterns, each one unique. With them, we will symbolically light Llamita on opening day, a gesture that celebrates the beginning of a new chapter and strengthens the bond between people and this new cultural space. An invitation to play, create and share at Llamita.

Sessions

The workshops will take place on 9, 10 and 11 September, with six sessions available each day: 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00 and 18:30.
