In conversation: María Beguiristain and Lola Jiménez-Blanco

María Beguiristain, Director of the Banco Santander Collection, and Lola Jiménez-Blanco, curator of one of the opening exhibitions, Masterpieces from the Banco Santander Collection, will discuss the diverse stories held within an artistic heritage built over time and the possibilities that emerge when we look at it from the perspective of the present.
 

Starting from the premise that a collection is not a fixed narrative, the conversation will explore questions such as: What happens when a historic collection is viewed from the perspective of the present? How does our perception change when we move beyond chronology and bring together works created centuries apart? What unexpected connections can emerge between the great masters of the past and contemporary artists?
