Faro Santander is Fundación Banco Santander’s centre for art and culture. Located in the historic Pereda Building in the heart of Santander, it is a place where art, culture and technology come together in an open and accessible environment for all audiences.

Faro Santander opened its doors to the public on 8 September 2026

Faro Santander is located at Paseo de Pereda 9-12, 39004 Santander, Cantabria, overlooking the bay and just a few minutes’ walk from Plaza Porticada. Click here for directions.

Faro Santander’s standard opening hours are from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

• Monday: 10.00 am - 8.00 pm.

• Tuesday: closed, except on public holidays.

• Wednesday: 10.00 am - 8.00 pm. 

• Thursday: 10.00 am - 8.00 pm.

• Friday: 10.00 am - 8.00 pm.

• Saturday: 10.00 am - 8.00 pm.

• Sunday: 10.00 am - 8.00 pm. 

On 5 January, 24 December and 31 December, Faro Santander will be open from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm.

Faro Santander will be closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.

Faro Santander is closed on Tuesdays, except when they fall on a public holiday.

The main entrance to Faro Santander is located beneath the archway of the Pereda Building, on Paseo de Pereda.

General admission costs €14.

Reduced admission costs €7 and is available to residents of Cantabria, young people aged between 18 and 25, people who are unemployed, people over 65, people with disabilities and Banco Santander customers.

Admission is free for visitors under 18 and Banco Santander employees.

We recommend booking your ticket in advance to guarantee admission on your preferred date and within your preferred time slot.

Tickets are organised into timed entry slots and can be purchased both online and from the Faro Santander ticket office.

You can purchase tickets online through the Faro Santander website or directly from the centre’s ticket office.

Yes. Faro Santander offers free audio guides that you can access on your own mobile device via QR codes.

The audio guides include content about the exhibitions, allowing you to learn more about the works and enjoy your visit at your own pace.

Yes. Faro Santander has lifts and accessible entrances to facilitate visits by people with reduced mobility and provide an accessible experience.

Yes. Faro Santander offers several types of visit.

Daily tours: a general tour of the building and the temporary exhibitions. Tours take place every day at 5:00 pm, with an additional tour at 11:00 am on weekends and public holidays.

School visits: these combine a visit to the temporary exhibitions and Cube with a workshop in Llamita. Advance booking is required.

Tours on request: a tour of the building and the temporary exhibitions, available in Spanish, English or French. Advance booking is required at least 48 hours before the visit, with a maximum of 20 people per group.

This depends on each exhibition and the works on display. Please always follow the instructions provided by Faro Santander staff and the signage in each space.

Yes. Pushchairs are permitted inside Faro Santander.

Yes. Faro Santander offers this service in the building’s entrance hall.

Pets are not permitted inside Faro Santander, except for guide dogs.

Bus routes with stops near the centre include:

• Route 3: Ojaiz – Puertochico – Piquío.

• Route 4: Barrio Pesquero – Interior Sardinero. 

• Route 12: Corbanera – Carrefour.

• Route 51: Santander – Astillero.

• Route 58: Santander – Liencres – Mompía.

If you are travelling by air, the S4 bus service connects Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport with the city centre. 

If you are travelling by car, there are several public car parks in the centre of Santander, including Parking Alfonso XIII and Parking Machichaco, both located close to Faro Santander.

A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per booking.

+Faro is the annual membership of Faro Santander, designed for those who want to enjoy the museum in a more personal, close, and enriching way, and continue being part of the Faro community throughout the year.

+Faro membership costs €30 per year.

A reduced membership rate of €15 per year is also available.

The reduced +Faro membership rate is available to:

• Residents of Cantabria.

• Young people aged between 18 and 25.

No. Membership provides priority and unlimited access throughout its validity period, but admission is always subject to the capacity available at the time of your visit.

+Faro includes one annual guest ticket, allowing you to share the Faro experience with a person of your choice.

To use it, you will need to identify yourself as a +Faro member at the ticket office. Admission for your guest will also be subject to the capacity available at the time.

You can provide your +Faro membership reference number at the ticket office so that the team can verify your membership.
