Verbena de Juegos: activities and workshops for families

Verbena de Juegos It's a party to light up Llamita through play, creativity, and a collective spark full of colors and lights.

It is also a showcase, a rehearsal, a premiere, an artistic fair, a shared picnic, a playful landscape in the making. A meeting space between the city and the sea where bubbles, fabrics, words, symbols, colors, and lights intertwine to shape a celebration open to all ages.

Next September 12, from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, at the Pereda Gardens, everyone is invited to the opening of Llamita, the new Faro Santander space dedicated to childhood, play, creativity, and shared moments.

Upon arrival, families will find a table half set, banners unfurled, and materials of different shapes and colors. These elements will serve as an invitation to interact with the surroundings.

As the afternoon progresses, that initial space will gradually transform thanks to collective participation, slowly becoming a new territory for playing, imagining, and coming together.

During the celebration, the rhythm will be set by games, art workshops, and small rituals that will emerge throughout the afternoon. Each activity will be designed to encourage exploration and enjoyment, allowing the space to grow and change with every gesture.

A collective ignition to light up Llamita

Verbena de Juegos will also be the result of a play and creation process carried out in the days beforehand. During the three previous days, hundreds of lanterns and other elements will have been built in the Parafernalia workshops, which will become part of the festival, adding sparkle and color.

During the festival itself, we will continue making more lanterns in the workshops, so that by the end of the afternoon we can have one of the most special moments of the celebration. All the lanterns created will be prepared for a big collective lighting. This landscape of little glowing lights will symbolically light up Llamita, marking the start of a new stage and celebrating the birth of a place designed for playing, creating, and sharing. A gathering that will strengthen the bond between people, the new space, and the city. After the lighting, the celebration will continue with concerts and other surprises.
